Cool fair. The circus is fun and so is looking at the art. Entrance has free but parking is 5 to 10 bucks.
The pet adoption fair was great. Though you better just fill out an application for a pet before meeting them because someone else will swoop in while youre meeting them and adopt them. I was doing a meet and greet which they say is mandatory and the staff allowed someone else to adopt the dog before they even saw them...twice...my family was not too happy.
Our family went to the fair last night, August 18, 2017. Our kids were highly disappointed. The playground pirate ship was interesting, yet crammed with kids on both. Zero regulation on how many kids. One sign I noticed, on the side of the ship, actually said maximum of "8" kids. There was at least 30. Also, we arrived at the fair around 8:00pm. The fair was not closed until 10:00pm. So, why was the petting zoo and pony rides closed "2" hours before closing? Alot of the outside booths were closed by the time we got there. Poor lighting outside, maybe that's why so many were shut down. Also, the chicken and rabbits barns also closed at 9:00pm. Once again, the fair is not done till 10:00pm. And as for the other animals, not as much as I thought would be there. It was hard for my kids to see at least half of the barn animals because they are behind metal gates, not wood like at the Weber County Fair. Also, WCF has WAY MORE barns and animals to look at. Yes, admission was free to the Davis County fair , BUT I would rather go to the Weber County Fair on kids day! Kids 12 and under are free you only pay for the adults. Also, the thing my kids look forward to at the Weber County Fair is that the rodeo is included with admission! At the Davis County Fair, all you get to do is peek in to the arena as you walk to your car because it is extra. For our family we MUCH PREFER the Weber County Fair!
We just found our new family member at the NKUT Super Adoption. I was highly impressed with how clean the facilities are and the ample parking.
There was a dog show out there, it was a good size venue, everything was put together well. Neat job, well done, facilities were clean and organized too
